The director has Thor: Love and Thunder releasing in 2022, and a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory animated series in the works for Netflix. Taika will have a lot on his plate in the meantime. "I don't think that I'm any use in the Star Wars universe making a film where everyone's like, 'Oh great, well that's the blueprints to the Millennium Falcon, ah that's Chewbacca's grandmother.' That all stands alone, that's great, though I would like to take something new and create some new characters and just expand the world, otherwise it feels like it's a very small story." "Look, I think for the Star Wars universe to expand, it has to expand," he told us. In a separate interview with Total Film, Waititi hinted that he would be exploring a new side to Star Wars. "I like to fool the viewer into thinking 'ha it's this' and then them going, 'Damn it, you made me feel something!'" "I tend to go down that little sincerity alleyway in my films," Waititi said of the film. "His enormous talent and sense of humor will ensure that audiences are in for an unforgettable ride."

"Taika's approach to Star Wars will be fresh, unexpected, and…unique," Kennedy has also said. I get what George was trying to do, but the end result didn’t look real at the time of the film’s release and it looks even worse 20 years later. No other details have yet been announced other than the movie will be heading to cinemas, thought the film is expected next on the big screen release slate: Kathleen Kennedy told Total Film in a recent interview that the film is headed for a "late 2023" release, but said "we haven't locked anything in" when asked if that meant December 2023. It would’ve made more sense to actually have an actor in a suit and then replicate him over and over instead of going straight up anime style. The movie suddenly flips from being live-action to a cartoon and it is very jarring to see. Maybe it’s not fair to say the animation is bad, it’s just that it looks like animation! We are at the end of a live-action film and suddenly we get a scene that looks like it came out of the Clone Wars cartoon. The second case of horrible animation is the introduction of the Grand Army of the Republic. I know George Lucas really wanted to incorporate as much CGI as possible in the Prequels but this scene just didn’t turn out and it was unnecessary, so it should’ve been cut. Thankfully, it doesn’t last too long and Anakin falls off the critter and fakes being hurt so Padme can come to his rescue. The animation is poor and it looks completely fake, and it takes the viewer out of the scene and movie altogether. We go back to the young picnickers and suddenly Anakin is surfing on top of a wild Nubian beast. The scene ends and we cut to something else. Anakin and Padme are having one of their usual awkward conversations. The second is the scene where some of the senators and Palpatine overlook the clones. The first is on Naboo where Anakin rides the weird-looking giant anteater-like beast.

There are two scenes that stick out like a sore pulsating thumb.

One glaring issue with Attack of the Clones that doesn’t hold up over the years is the poor animation and special effects. Lucasfilm Entertainment Company Ltd., All Rights Reserved Horrible Animation Star Wars: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones (2002).
